Abstract
The parameters of the hearing aid are adjusted in accordance with the signal characteristics of natural sound patterns corresp. to pref. hearing situations and with audiological data related to the impaired hearing. The pref. frequency-dependent amplification is determined by reference to a formula involving the hearing loss at each frequency, raised to a power and multiplied by a coefft. which are obtd. by regression analysis from the results of a series of tests.
