Abstract

An accumulator pot (3) is connected to the feed pump (1) on the pressure side, and a fuel supply line (2a) for the injection system is connected to the accumulator above the feed pump. The accumulator axially covers the area of the feed pump and a part of the sealing boundaries. A pressure relief valve (11) is connected preferably to the highest point of the accumulator pot, and is connected to the suction side of the feed pump via a fuel return line (12). A check valve (7) is installed in the suction line to prevent return of drawn-in fuel.
