Abstract

A melt/flow explosive composition with a reduced sensitivity comprises a fusible explosive, a binding agent and an emulsifier of the binder with the explosive, and a solid explosive of low sensitivity.The fusible explosive is a nitro-aromatic compound with a m.pt. higher than 100 degrees C and the binder has a similar m.pt., the proportion of the latter being at least 3% of the total composition mass. The overall composition has a reaction temperature greater than 185 degrees C.
