Abstract

1. Locking device for push buttons (9, 18) of electrical switching devices, in which on the inside of the casing of the switching device, a sliding member (1) under the force of a spring (4) is guided to move longitudinally, which cooperates with the push buttons (9, 18) whereby in one position of the sliding member (1), one push button (9) can be locked in the operating position and in all positions of the sliding member another push button (18) cannot be locked, characterised in that the push button (9) which can be locked comprises on the rear side a bolt (6) and a compression spring (10), that behind the end of the bolt (6) lying at a distance from the push button (9) which can be locked is a member (7) enlarged with respect to the other bolt part (8), that the sliding member (1) is constructed as a fork (5) at its end located behind the bolt (6), which fork has dimensions such that in the inoperative position of the push button (9) which can be locked, the ends of the fork bear externally on the enlarged member (7) and in the operative position of the push button (9) which can be locked engage in a locking manner around the other part of the bolt (8), that the sliding member (1) comprises groove-like stop locations (22, 23) for the selective engagement of a stationary tooth (25) connected to the casing cover (12), that one stop location (23) is adapted to the tooth (25) and arranged so that the sliding member can be held by the tooth (25) in such a position that the push button (9) which can be locked is unlockable, that the other stop location (22) has dimensions corresponding to the sliding movement of the sliding member (1) and in this stop location the tooth (25) limits the sliding movement and that the push button (18) which cannot be locked is constructed and cooperates with the sliding member (1) so that by actuating it locking of the push button (9) which can be locked is cancelled out.
