Abstract
1. A rotary hearth furnace with a cylindrical or an angular furnace chamber and a rotary furnace floor divided into furnace sections and fitted with inlet and exit doors, the width of each such door corresponding with the width of each such furnace section characterized in that said furnace is provided with more than one exit door (A1, A2, A3) and that each such exit door is connected with a downstream treatment facility (13, 17, 18, 20) and in that a vestibule (S2, S3, S4) may be provided between each such exit door and each such downstream treatment facility.
