Abstract

The invention relates to a degreasing process for hard and semihard copper plumbing pipes by means of a liquid degreasing agent of low pollution potential. For this purpose, the pipes are briefly treated in a mixture of halogen-free, aliphatic hydrocarbons at a temperature in the range from 35 to 55 DEG C and then dried. Preferably, the pipes to be degreased are additionally pre-degreased cold in a separate working step.
