Abstract
The testing device uses a pair of sensors organs (62,38), displaced from respective initial positions by the operation of the rivetting tool, with detection of their displacements and comparison of the corresponding relative displacement with a required value. The rivet quality is determined from by comparing the obtained difference with a tolerance range. Pref. the displacements are provided by respective displacement sensors (76,78) coupled to an evaluation circuit when the sensor organs are brought to a standstill for comparing their positions with defined positions, to provide an output signal when they lie outside the acceptable tolerance range.
