Abstract

Moulding machines with moulding chambers (1) are used to produce boxless moulds or casting moulds. These moulding chambers have lining plates and numerous partial areas of these plates are provided with vent nozzles which allow the air contained in the relevant moulding chamber to escape but retain the moulding sand. In order to create a lining plate which is simple to manufacture and has a very high wear resistance in the area of importance, it is proposed that an inner wear plate (8) should be secured on an outer structural plate (7), that the vent nozzles should be produced by means of laser technology and should be located exclusively in the wear plate (8), and that the structural plate (7) should have air outlet openings in the region of the vent nozzles. <IMAGE>
