Abstract

An apparatus for producing coatings to protect against wear and corrosion by thermal spraying using a nozzle and wires which are processed at a distance from a wire spraying system has a nozzle system about the nozzle which atomises a molten metal drop for injecting hard-material particles and hard-phase particles into the spray jet without melting-on or remelting and the wire is provided so as to be drivable.
