Abstract
In order to increase the inductance of a cooled high-current cable, a conductor section (11) which is integrated into the cable is assigned an iron sleeve (13) in a manner which leaves an interspace. The iron sleeve (13), which is designed so as to achieve the desired increase in inductance, is supported on the conductor section (11) by means of an insulation, preferably in the shape of distance sleeves (17, 17') of non-conducting material, which surrounds the conductor section (11) while maintaining a passage, and is fixed in terms of position with respect to the conductor section (11). <IMAGE>
