In order to enable the distillation plant (1) to be operated particularly efficiently, and also autonomously, the invention calls for the heating gas (g) to be produced by burning a part (t1?) of the distillation gases (s). In a distillation/combustion plant, in particular a combustion plant (2) retrofitted with a distillation plant (1), the remainder (t2?) of the distillation gases (s) produced is fed to the combustion chamber (34) of the combustion plant (2).
