Abstract

A power supply for a heating device (20) of a heated display (10), especially of a fluorescent display, is proposed. A DC voltage source supplies the display voltage for the display and a heating current source for the heating device is constructed as a clock device (21, 19), pulsing the display voltage. In this way, the inherently low heating voltage can be derived from the higher display voltage, it being possible to save expensive, large-volume ballast elements and reduce the power loss. <IMAGE>
