Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting system for film and television studios and the like, having a plurality of luminous elements (LK1, LK2) each of which is assigned a switching and dimming unit (SDE) which can be operated via a central control device (ZRE) and which can be fed via a common current conductor arrangement (10, 11, 12) with a supply voltage which, for the purpose of feeding the luminous element, can be varied by means of the respective switching and dimming unit, and to which control commands can be fed from the central control device. The novel light system is characterised in that -the luminous elements (LK1, LK2) are designed to be mobile and can move suspended on rails of a support rail arrangement, - the switching and dimming unit (SDE) for a specific luminous element (LK1, LK2) is arranged directly in or on the latter or the housing or suspension thereof and forms therewith a structural and functional unit which can be moved as a whole and respond individually, and - the common current conductor arrangement (10, 11, 12) is a busbar arrangement without cables. <IMAGE>
