Abstract

Process for producing electric continuous-flow heaters for fluids, comprising a continuous tube and a tubular heater which is arranged thereon like a coil and which, for its part, is surrounded by a metal surface which covers the coil, characterised in that for the purpose of receiving the tubular heater (2) a round body (3, 4) which has an annularly-shaped cross-section is formed by round-working a flat extruded aluminium part (S) which is provided with a plurality of longitudinal parallel grooves (7) and whose cutting edges, which run transverse to the longitudinal direction, form an angle with the longitudinal direction which corresponds to the slope (pitch, inclination) of the heater coil (2). It is also characterised by the fact that the tubular heater (2) is inserted into the grooves (7), which as a result of the working are now coil-shaped, of the round body (3, 4), and that after pushing in the continuous tube this assembly (1 to 4) is subjected to a pressing operation. <IMAGE>
