Abstract

In the case of a method for the cathodic corrosion protection of pipelines which are laid in the ground and have an electrically insulating sheathing and the like, a protection voltage is formed in order to preclude AC corrosion on the pipeline, which protection voltage essentially compensates for the positive half cycles of an AC voltage which is induced in the pipeline, for example, by a current-carrying line running above the ground, or is initiated by influence from such a line.
