Abstract

Breathing air supply apparatus for protective suits, having a base body 12 which is penetrated along its length by a channel 11. At the upper end of the channel 11 the hoses 5 and 6 which carry breathing air and/or serve for ventilation are connected. At the lower end of the channel 11 there are double breathing air inlets 7 leading away from the back at right angles to said channel, which inlets are closed off from the environment by means of filters 8. Installed in the channel 11 are blowers 18 which convey the breathing air. In addition to the inlets 7 for the blowers or ambient air 9, there is at the lower end of the channel 11 a further inlet or opening 27 for the connection of said channel to breathing air 4 from a supply system which can be connected to and disconnected from the air supply by means of the blowers 18. For feeding the air 4 from the system, an injector pipe 24, whose outlet opening 25 is located, viewed in the direction 26 of flow of the air in the channel 11, behind the intake opening 7 for the ambient air 9, projects into the channel 11. <IMAGE>
