Abstract

The fireplace contains a combustion chamber (2) and, arranged above it, a heat exchanger (4). Primary air necessary for combustion is supplied to the slots of the combustion chamber grate (3) from below. Secondary air enters the combustion chamber (2) via outlet nozzles (22) from above, along the height-adjustable transparent panel (6), and brings about an air curtain in front of the panel (6). The supply of the primary air and the secondary air is modified automatically in a time-dependent manner by a motor-driven throttle device (10).
