Abstract

In a wedge-arrangement for connecting bars (1, 6), especially scaffolding bars, there is provided a U-shaped wedge box (2) which cooperates with a clamping part (9). One leg of the U-shaped clamping part (9) is formed by a wedge (8) and the other leg (11) engages externally over the web (3) of the wedge box, the opening (15) of the slot (12) thus formed being dimensioned so small that the cross-section of the wedge box does not pass through. Stop lugs (13, 14) and an entrance slope (16) are preferably provided in the region of the opening (15), so that the clamping part (9) can be simply driven in, spreading apart elastically in the process. The wedge box can have a transverse pin (5), so that the wedge is supported thereon and on one edge of the web (3).
