Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for developing paper images exposed on a tape of photographic paper, the photographic paper tape to be developed passing continuously through the device for developing paper images. The invention is based on the object of improving the developing method in such a way that it fits more profitably into the production and processing sequence (finishing) of paper photographs. This object is achieved by always adjusting the speed of the photographic paper tape running through the developing device to the speed conditions, especially also to a higher working speed, of upstream or downstream working stations. A device according to the invention for developing paper images, having a housing in which deflection rolls for deflecting and guiding the photographic paper tape to be developed are arranged on at least two different height levels, is distinguished in that at least one of the deflection rollers is displaceably arranged in such a way that its distance from the other deflection roller level is variable. <IMAGE>
