Abstract

The method involves mixing a particle-free diluted gas to an exhaust gas flow, which is loaded with particles, in a preset ratio of a volume flow of exhaust gas and diluted gas by a mixing device (10). The exhaust gas flow is divided into two partial flows in the ratio of the volume flow of the exhaust gas and the diluted gas, where one of the partial flows, which correspond to the volume flow of the diluted gas, is supplied to the other untreated partial flow after completing precipitation of the particles as the diluted gas. An independent claim is also included for a device for reducing particle concentration in an exhaust gas flow.
