Die direkte Darstellung von Eisenzyanverbindungen aus Zyanamidsalzen (Na-Ca Salz.) usw. ist bis jetzt noch nicht bekannt. Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man aus dem gesamten Stickstoff der Zyanamidsalze, Eisenzyanverbindungen erhält, wenn man ein Gemenge von Zyanamidsalz und Kohle in ein eisenhaltiges geschmolzenes Alkali oder Erdalkalikarbonat, welchem, zur Erniedrigung des Schmelzpunktes geeignete Salze, beispielsweise Na Cl etc., zugesetzt sind, einträgt. An Stelle von metallischem Eisen können auch Eisenoxyde oder Eisensalze verwendet werden.
