Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Schwelretorte für Generatoren.
EMI1.1

Smoldering retort for generators.
EMI1.1
that the generator gases pull through the retort to a small extent and thereby transport the
Facilitate tar fumes.
By the strongly descending filling bell e it is achieved that the SchweJgassammelkammer b is pretty much closed off from the dust whirled up by the coal falling down and kept in motion by the stirrer, so that the carbonization gas line remains free from the annoying dust deposits and on the other hand the coal dust is forced to the To participate in the smoldering process.
It is essential that the stirrers are positioned fairly low and fairly close above the ejector so that dust is not unnecessarily blown up from the carbon material. The rotation of the filling bell alone ensures that the carbon material is evenly stored in the upper layers. Gases that collect in the upper space of the filling bell e are discharged through openings m into the collecting chamber b.
It is important that the ejection slot i remains open all the time and that all closing organs which are difficult to close in operation and which, in the event of the use of force, grind the coals are avoided.
If one were to use continuous charging for smoldering generators in which the retort filling is based on the generator content, the throughput of the retort would depend on all irregularities and disturbances in the generator operation and emptying of the generator, e.g. B. to eliminate a significant disturbance, would sink the whole. Result in bunker contents.
