Circuit to prevent unauthorized current consumption and excess current.
The possibility of unauthorized removal of electricity free of charge by grounding a conductor with the meter switched off has led to numerous proposals to remedy this situation and to protect the company supplying electricity from damage. In addition, it is often desirable to reduce the power consumption to a certain level. ss in order to save on electricity costs and to have control over electricity consumption with a flat rate.
The present invention now has the purpose of remedying the above inconveniences by providing a circuit for preventing unauthorized current draw or current excess, u. between the fact that immediately after the electricity meter in each of the two conductors a solenoid or a relay
EMI1.1
Relay switches off the associated switch when there is continuity and the relay located in the return line switches on the associated switch when there is continuity. One of the two switches is switched on in the forward line and the second switch in a shunt to this line. This second switch is operated by the solenoid or relay in the return line.
The device can act as a current limiter by setting the first switch accordingly (counterweight or spring tension) and blocking the second switch in the off position.
In the drawing, D shows the power source (dynamo) with the poles and earth E at the pole -, the poles being connected to the counter Z by the lines L1 and L2. The line a going from the + pole of the meter leads via the solenoid 81 and the circuit breaker jdj to the point of consumption L and from there via the line b and the solenoid 82 to the negative pole of the meter
EMI1.2
the solenoid 82 is actuated, bypassed, the circuit breaker being connected to the conductor a by lines f and g at points m and n.
If the lamp switch is closed, the current flows through both solenoids s1, s2, whereby the switch Al is in its off position cd, the switch Az in its on position c'-e 'and the normal course of the current consumption at the point of consumption is maintained remains.
If at any point after the point of consumption, unauthorized grounding, e.g. B. at 0 before

until a normal current flow has returned. However, this prevents unauthorized current consumption without the meter functioning and achieves the intended purpose of the circuit.
With the help of a weight or by spring tension, the solenoid 81 can be set so that it only moves the switch A1 into the open position c-d when a certain current intensity is reached, thereby preventing unauthorized excess current. In this case, the switch is locked in its off position el-d.
