Kalkulations-undBetriebsrechenschieber.

Calculation and operating slide rule.
There are calculation and business calculators known which, in addition to the usual logarithmic divisions, have a number of other divisions. in order to quickly and safely carry out the various calculations required in modern factories.
The invention relates to such a calculation and operating slide rule and consists in the fact that the runner is provided with a bar that is parallel to the slide rule and can be displaced transversely, which also has a logarithmic division and takes on the role of a second tongue for certain calculations.
Furthermore, the invention consists in the arrangement of special divisions for special calculations.
The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment in a diagrammatic plan view.
The slide rule consists of a frame a in which a tongue b is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner. A runner c with a transparent plate can be adjusted along the frame of the slide rule and is provided with a bar d. which runs parallel to the slide rule and is guided perpendicular to it through the two edges of the runner.
The divisions on the slide rule are partly logarithmic divisions,

operations and calculations that often occur in the calculation can be carried out with particular ease.
The upper division arranged on the frame, which is marked with a root symbol on the side in the drawing. represents the ordinary root division, which is divided into two lines to accommodate them conveniently. It starts with part of line 1 in the second line on the left, which is the

To the left of this scale there is a tabular summary for easier determination of the place values of the roots. On the right-hand side of the root scale there is a similar compilation for determining the significance of readings for special calculations.
The division RI is a special division that is used to determine the running times in seconds and compared to the division R2. which is an ordinary logarithmic division is shifted 0-6 logarithmic units to the right. This scale corresponds to the product with 60, which can be read directly from the RI scale when the runner's line is set to the number to be multiplied on the scale 1 ".
The division R2 is a normal division and is used primarily for the usual calculations, also for determining the cutting time in minutes, the power requirement in ground forces and at the same time for setting the material strength Kz for tough material to determine the cutting speed.
The three divisions described so far are located above the tongue on the frame.
At the upper edge of the tongue there is a division Zo, which is the opposite division for R2.
This division corresponds to the same unit of length as the division R2, it is also different in the same sense.

Frame is extended by half a logarithmic unit and is used to set the feed rate, the turning length, the stroke length and the planing width for determining the cutting time.
The division V at the upper edge of the lower part of frame a is a counter division for Zu and is used to read off the cutting speed in minutes, the minute revolutions and the minute double strokes.
The division Kz on the frame below is a special division for the material strength in the case of brittle
EMI2.3
The division Rq on the frame at the bottom left and right contains the value V q of the division Zq and is offset from the division Bg by the logarithm of the length of 11-8.
The division G on the frame below is used for direct reading of the weights of round,

Division R2 offset by the logarithm of the length of 16-4.
At the top of the frame, the division R1 has two marks S and 9 on. which serve to determine the minute feed rate when milling.

The division on the bar cl of the rotor corresponds to the value \ / and enables the cutting speed and minute revolutions to be determined with a single setting.
At the foot of the runner there are marking lines that allow the reading of the weight for round

Graduations, characterized in that the runner is provided with a bar that can be moved transversely parallel to the slider, has a logarithmic graduation and is used as a second tongue for certain calculations.
2. Calculation and operating slide rule, characterized by a division (R1) of the same scale as the normal division (R2), but shifted by 0 # 6 logarithmic units compared to this, in order to be able to read the running times in seconds without the otherwise required multiplication to have to perform at 60.
