Nach der Erfindung lässt sich die Lichtausbeute einer solchen GIimmlicht) am]) e wesentlich steigern, wenn man zur Füllung der Lampe Gemische von Neon und Helium verwendet. welche reich an Helium sind. Bisher ist man bei Verwendung solcher Gemische über 30"/Helium nicht hinausgegangen. Es hat sich jedoch gezeigt, dass schon eine Steigerung des Heliumgehaltes über 30"/genügt, um eine wesentliche Steigerung der Lichtausstrahlung zu erzielen, die jedoch bei einem bestimmten Prozentsatz von Helium ein Maximum erreicht, welches ausser von der Konstruktion der Lampe im wesentlichen von dem gesamten Gasdruck derselben abhängig ist.
Bei einem Gasdruck von etwa 10 mem Quecksilbersäule liegt das Ökonomiemaximum bei einer Mischung von 25% Neon und 75% Helium. Es gelingt so, ungefähr die doppelte Lichtausbeute zu erhalten wie bei reinem Neon.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Elektrische Glimmlampe mit einer aus einem Gemisch von Neon und Helium bestehenden Füllung. dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Gehalt an Helium mehr als 30% der gesamten Füllungsmenge beträgt.
