   Die Erfindung betrifft ein Automobil mit tropfenförmigen Horizontalschnitten, bei dem der Motor vorn angeordnet ist, während der Antrieb für die geteilte Hinterachse mit um die   gemeinschaftliche,   in der   Längsrichtung des'Wagens angeordnete   Hauptantriebswelle schwingenden Hälften samt dem Übersetzungsgetriebe hinten liegt und mit diesem in einem gemeinsamen Block vereinigt ist. 



   Eine solche Anordnung ergibt eine gleichmässige Gewichtsverteilung der für den Antrieb erforderlichen Elemente auf die Vorder-und Hinterräder. Sämtliche horizontalen Querehnitte durch die Karosserie sind tropfenförmig und umschliessen vollständig den vorn liegenden Motor und den hinten liegenden   Hinterachsanttieb,   welche sich bei der   erwähnten   Bauart ohne weiteres in jedes Tropfenprofil einpassen lassen. Bei dieser Anordnung gemäss der Erfindung ist also zunächst die Karosserie so gestaltet, dass sie ausschliesslich aus Gesichtspunkten geformt ist, welche den geringsten Luftwiderstand bei der Fahrt ergeben.
