Elektrische Motorlokomotive.

Electric motor locomotive.
The invention relates to an electric motor locomotive in which one or more hydraulic gears are connected between the drive motor and the drive wheels. The invention consists in that the electric motor and the primary pump sets directly connected to it are arranged in the direction of travel and the propellant ducts are located so that the shaft of the secondary pump as a jackshaft crosses the primary shaft at right angles. According to the invention, gears driven by this can also be arranged on both sides of the electric motor, the secondary pump sets of which hold the drive wheels between them, with all parts of the system being combined into a closed power chain by means of the coupling rods.
This results in an extremely compact design of the drive, the same fluid flow for forward and reverse gear and thus in all cases a favorable transmission of the drive force. In this case, the electric motor can be designed without a regulating device, since the transmission takes over all functions of maneuvering.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention in side and top views.
An electric motor a is installed in each single wagon frame of the locomotive, which works on hydraulic gears b, which in turn drive the drive wheels d by means of drive rods c. The electric motor is arranged with the primary pump sets of the gearbox directly connected to it in the direction of the track, the propellant ducts so that the shaft e of the secondary pumps crosses the primary shaft at right angles as a jackshaft.
If, as indicated in the drawing, a fluid gear is arranged on both sides of the electric motor a, so that the jackshafts e grip the drive wheels d between them and drive them by means of the coupling rods c, then all parts of the systems are combined to form a closed force center, which also effects a force balance when one or more Pdmar pumps are switched off. The gears are set up in such a way that they can be set to forward and reverse gear at different speed levels from an actuator (not shown). They can also be designed in such a way that they are used for hydraulic clutch and hydraulic braking. Maneuvering is now not carried out by regulating the electric motor a, but exclusively by the transmission.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Electric motor locomotive with a hydraulic transmission switched on between the drive motor and the drive wheels, characterized in that the electric motor and the primary pump sets directly coupled to it are arranged in the direction of travel and the propellant ducts are positioned so that the shaft of the secondary pump is at right angles as a jackshaft the primary wave crosses.
