Electromagnetic discharge of track and comb bearings.
The storage of rotating machines with high axial shaft loads and correspondingly high
The number of revolutions often presents considerable difficulties, since the track and crest bearings of such machines are subject to relatively rapid closure and frequently give rise to unpleasant operational disruptions.
An attempt was made to eliminate this deficiency by, among other things, electromagnetic relief of the track and ridge bearings. Such a relief device consisted mainly of an armature firmly connected to the rotating shaft, which was operated by one or more stationary electromagnets surrounding the shaft in the direction of the axis opposite to the axial one
Thrust attracted and thereby a complete or only partial relief of the axial thrust absorbing track or ridge bearings was achieved.
However, the electromagnetic relief has so far been carried out with a static magnetic constant field, so that a relative movement took place between the field and the armature and this resulted in inconveniences that did not always make such a relief device appear suitable.
The purpose of the present invention is to carry out the already known electromagnetic relief with a rotating magnetic field which has the same number of revolutions as the rotating shaft or the armature firmly connected to it, so that there is no relative movement between the field and armature and that otherwise resulting from the same Inconveniences are avoided.
Such a magnetic rotating field relief can be seen from the drawing. The shaft 1 of a steam turbine 2, assumed here for example vertically, the lower part of which is indicated schematically in the drawing and above which the driven machine, e.g. B. a three-phase turbo dynamo has to absorb the axial load has a ball bearing 3. The actual relief device consists of the fixed electromagnet 4 and the armature firmly connected to the shaft 5. The former is similar to the stator of an asynchronous three-phase motor, with a Provided three-phase winding and, as also indicated in the figure, laminated in the circumferential direction; the latter is massive in contrast to the earlier equal field relief.
The magnetic rotating field relief can then be used to advantage if, as is the case, for example, B. is the case when driving three-phase generators, the shaft has a so-called three-phase speed number; the fixed part of the relief device must then be wound for such a number of poles that with the given number of periods of the introduced three-phase current, the resulting rotating field has the same number of revolutions as the shaft or the armature. The rotating armature is then at rest relative to the rotating field rotating with the same number of revolutions. The armature is then not induced electrically and, as mentioned earlier, can therefore be made solid.
Because the rotating field pulls the armature or the shaft upwards, the thrust bearing is relieved and the degree of relief can be different depending on the strength of the excitation. If the driven machine is a three-phase generator, the excitation of the relief device can be transmitted directly to the machine or Busbar fun. However, so that the rotating field has the same number of revolutions as the shaft or the armature, the fixed part of the relief device must be wound for the same number of poles as the stator of the three-phase generator.
Since the axial thrust often changes with the load on rotating machines,
EMI1.1

according to the invention are regulated in such a way that the strength of the magnetic field corresponds to the respectively existing
Axial thrust is regulated accordingly automatically. So z.
B. in such a case where the axial thrust of the shaft originating from the water or steam turbine changes almost proportionally with the load in a generator drive, the relief can be changed in almost the same sense by allowing the electromagnet of the relief device with low saturations a partial current proportional to the respective load current is excited. According to the invention, however, even with the electromagnetic relief of the track or Kammlagerdruek with a variable axial thrust of the shaft, allowing a degree of irregularity between two arbitrarily set limits can be automatically kept constant.
The device applicable in this regard for the example of a rotating field relief can be seen in a schematic representation in the drawing. The
Track plate 6 of the ball bearing has a piston 7 which rests on liquid in a cylinder 8.
This cylinder is through a pipe 9 with a small cylinder 10 in connection, in which a
Piston 11 can be moved up and down. This piston is on the one hand under the effect of that
Pressure exerted by the thrust bearing load by means of the piston 7 on the liquid and, on the other hand, under the counteraction of a spring 12, which is located above the small piston 11 in the cylinder and is compressed to different degrees depending on the position of this piston. The piston 11 has one from the cylinder.
M leading out piston rod, which at its end carries a three-phase sliding contact 13 correspondingly isolated from the piston rod, which slides over the resistors 14 connected upstream of the ErTeger three-phase winding and changes the excitation or the degree of relief by adjusting it.
Is z. B. as a result of the increased load, the axial thrust or the load on the thrust bearing is greater, so the balance between the Flü. sigkeitsdruck and the spring force to produce the large piston 7 lower by a small amount, while the small piston 11 is adjusted accordingly far up; however, this reduces the upstream resistances or increases the excitation and thus the relief, whereby again, since the spring force begins to predominate, the small piston 11 recedes: but does not reach its previous position.
When the axial load on the thrust bearing changes, similar to indirect regulation, the new state of equilibrium can only be reached after a few oscillations have been carried out, or the regulation takes place periodically. The transmission ratio between the two cylinders 8 and 10 must be such that the imperceptibly small path of the piston 7 corresponding to the greatest change in the thrust bearing load corresponds to a correspondingly large displacement path of the piston 11
Adjusting force must also be sufficient to adjust the correspondingly graduated series resistors either directly or via a translation.
The electromagnetic relief device described with reference to the drawing and applicable to thrust bearings can of course also be used analogously in the case of the comb bearings of horizontally mounted shafts.
