   Die Wirkungsweise ist folgende : So lange die Bestandtheile in der Normalstellung verbleiben, wie dies in Fig. 1 (rechte Seite) und in Fig. 2 veranschaulicht wurde, so ist man nicht imstande, das Schloss aufzumachen, weil die Ansätze 10 und 16 der Zuhaltungen und der Ansatz 28 den gabelartigen Schlüsseldorn 22 und den Drehcylinder 15 an der Drehung hindern. Wird aber der Schlüssel auf den Cylinder 15 aufgesetzt und gedrückt, so gelangt der Schlüsseldorn 22 infolge des Druckes des   Schlüsselstiftes   29 weiter hinein
