Shaft furnace for fuels rich in water and gas.
The invention relates to a shaft furnace, which is particularly suitable for burning low-quality and water-rich fuels, such as lignite. Peat, KohlenscMamm, etc., is used and in which the combustion takes place in such a way that the fuel is gasified and the gas is burned in the furnace itself.
According to the invention, the upper part of the shaft furnace is in two with each other by a wall
Communicating rooms shared. The fresh fuel supplied to the shaft furnace is received and degassed in one room. The vapors and carbonization gases produced during the degassing are sucked out of the room with the aid of an air jet pump in the usual way with gas generators and fed to the grate of the shaft furnace at the bottom. The degassed fuel (coke) sinks to the bottom and then reaches the grate. where its gassing takes place. The gas mixture generated above the grate flows into the other, second room. The flammable components present in the mixture are burned in this by the introduction of atmospheric air.
The drawing shows in Fig. 1 a longitudinal section and in Fig. 2 a cross section of the shaft furnace.
It is used to heat a flame roll boiler.
The upper part of the shaft furnace is divided by a wall 1 into two rooms: 2 and; J shared. that are related to each other. The grids 4 and 5 of the shaft furnace are located below these rooms. The grate 5 is mainly used to hold the boxes pushed backwards. Fuel is supplied to the shaft furnace through the filling hull 6. Room 2 is fueled while the stove is in operation
EMI1.1
The layer of coke above the grate 4 is so high that the carbon is gasified to carbon oxide.
As a result of the heat developed in the shaft furnace, the fresh fuel degases in the room my and then sinks in the coked state on the grate 4. The water vapors and carbonization gases generated during degassing are released by an air jet pump 8, which is used for gasification and combustion of the on the Grate lying carbon is operated required air, sucked in and fed through the pipe 9 and the opening 10 to the grate 4 below (Fig. 2). The water vapors and carbonization gases then pass with the combustion air through the grate gaps into the glowing coke layer burning and glowing on the grate 4, where they are converted into carbon oxide and hydrogen.
This creates an enrichment of the gas formed from the solid carbon of the fuel.
EMI1.2
The ducts laid out in the furnace and from these through the openings 12 located at the top of the ceiling of the shaft furnace into the room. The combustion gases exit the shaft furnace directly into the flame tube 13 of the boiler.
