Elektrische Glüh-oder Bogenlampe für gerichtetes Licht.
Bei elektrischen Glüh-oder Bogenlampen (z. B. Wolframbogenlampen) für gerichtetes Licht wurde zur Vermeidung der Licht-bzw. Wärmeabsorptionsverluste bereits vorgeschlagen, dass man den Lampenbehälter aus einem gasdichten, innen mit reflektierender Fläche versehenen Material, vorzugsweise Metall herstellt und den Teil des Behälters, durch den das Licht austreten soll, durchsichtig macht, indem man hiefür einen aus durchsichtigem Material, vorzugsweise aus Glas bestehenden Abschluss nimmt.
Dabei ist, insbesondere bei Starkstromlampen von hoher Kerzenstärke ein Metallbehälter von grossem Vorteil, weil er viel kleiner gehalten werden kann, als eine Glaskugel und unzerbrechlich ist, daher immer wieder verwendet werden kann, wenn der Glühkörper unbrauchbar geworden ist. Der luftdichte Abschluss des Metallbehälters durch Glas oder dgl. wird erfindungsgemäss dadurch erreicht, dass man ihn mit zwei Öffnungen versieht, durch deren eine Stickstoff oder ein anderes indifferentes Gas eingeführt und durch deren andere entweichen gelassen wird, um allfällige Undichtheiten mit Bezug auf den vor Sauerstoff zu bewahrenden Glühkörper unwirksam zu machen. Dabei kann der entweichende Stickstoff immer wieder durch eine Fördervorrichtung in den Behälter zurückgeführt werden, so dass also ein Stickstoffkreislauf bewirkt wird.
Man kann demnach den bei grossen Lampen sich aus der Zweiteiligkeit des Behälters ergebenden Schwierigkeiten bei der vollkommenen Ausschliessung des Luftzutrittes in einfacher Weise beikommen.
