Haarnadel.

Hairpin.
The invention relates to a hairpin with three legs lying in the same plane, of which the intermediate leg is provided with bends and is firmly connected at one end to the two outer straight legs, and consists in the intermediate leg being bent in a wave shape such that the The vertices of the waves touch or almost touch the insides of the two straight legs at points that are offset from one another.
The drawing illustrates a hairpin made according to the invention. This consists of two straight legs 1, between which a third leg 2 is arranged, which consists of a single part and is bent in a wave shape in such a way that the vertices of the waves almost touch the inside of the straight side legs at mutually offset points. A needle set up in this way does not offer any appreciably increased resistance to insertion into the hair, but after insertion it is securely held in place by the fact that the holes between the shafts of the intermediate leg and
EMI1.1
can be pulled through where the crests of the waves rest on the outer legs.
The intermediate leg: 2 is expediently attached to the bend that connects the two outer legs 1, and the attachment can either be brought about by wrapping the intermediate leg around the bend a few times: or better by punching an opening in this is, through which the then expediently somewhat flattened upper end of the leg 2 is inserted, which is pressed onto it so that the fastening point is as smooth as possible.
