Bohrfutter.

Drill chuck.
The invention relates to a drill chuck, in which the jaws, which are displaceable in radial slots in the chuck body, are designed so that their upper and lower
Edges conical to each other, corresponding to the guide surfaces in the chuck body and the
Clamping sleeve, taper. According to the invention, the jaws with pegs are inclined against the
Internal upwardly extending slots in the chuck body.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the chuck according to the invention is illustrated, namely in FIG. 1 in a view, in FIGS. 2 and 3 in longitudinal section with the clamping jaws closed and in the open position. 4 and 5 show sections through the socket and the body, FIGS. 6 and 7 show two different views of the socket, and FIGS. 8 to 10 show a clamping jaw in side view, front view and top view.
The chuck essentially consists of a sleeve a, the body c and the clamping jaws. The sleeve a is provided in its upper part with an internal thread and ends at the bottom in a conical part b. The body c is provided with an external thread, carries the socket a and ends at the bottom in a truncated cone d adapted to part b. This has downwardly open radial slots 111. In the illustrated embodiment, three, reaching up to the bore f of the body c slots are provided at angles of 1200. The upper ends of the slots m are directed obliquely upwards from the outside inwards and are curved.
In the truncated cone d, on both sides of the mouths e of the slots M, there are channels g which are concave upwards and which serve as guides for the pins r of the jaws.
The jaws I are slidably arranged in the slots m. The upper surfaces q of the clamping jaws are adapted to the slope i of the slots M and the lateral surfaces p to the slope of the socket part.
When using the chuck, the body c is attached to the machine and the drilling spindle is pushed into the central space left free by the clamping jaws. When the sleeve a is screwed onto the body c, the clamping jaws are moved against one another and, in this case, are guided accordingly by means of the pins r engaging in the channels g. When the sleeve c is unscrewed, the clamping jaws slide apart automatically as a result of their mounting in the inclined channels g, thereby releasing the drilling tool.
