Tragpolster für Stahlhelme.
Das Tragpolster ist insbesondere für Stahlhelme bestimmt, aber auch für andere Helme verwendbar.
Das Tragpolster besteht aus drei getrennten Kissen, die so angeordnet sind, dass sie sich auf den Stirnknochen und hinter den Schläfen auflegen, die Schläfen selbst aber und die Mitte des Hinterkopfes freilassen,
Es sind schon dreiteilige Polsterungen bekannt, die sich aber auf andere Kopfteile auflegen.
'Die geschilderte Anordnung hat den Vorteil, dass von dem auf den Helm treffenden Stoss nur die widerstandsfähigen Teile des Schädels beansprucht werden, die empfindlichen aber, im besonderen die Schläfengegend, von dem Druck freibleibt.
In der Zeichnung ist als Ausführungsbeispiel ein Stahlhelm im Längsschnitt (Fig. I) und Ansicht von unten (Fig. 2) mit einer gemäss der Erfindung ausgebildeten Tragpolsterung dargestellt.
Sie besteht aus drei Einzelteilen b, welche gemeinsam an einem Tragriemen c befestigt sind, der seinerseits mit dem Helm a in dessen Innern fest verbunden ist. An Stelle des Tragriemens c kann auch ein Eisenband treten. Jedes der Einzelteile b ist als Tasche ausgebildet, in welche ein Polsterkissen d aus Filz oder sonstigem elastischem Material eingelegt ist.
Die Einzelteile b sind derart auf den Umfang des Helmes verteilt, dass sie auf der Stirn und seitlich rechts und links am Hinterkopf des Helmträgers aufruhen. Die in der Zeichnung als Einzelteile b bezeichneten Polster können an sich auch mehrteilig ausgeführt werden. Die zwischen den Einzelteilen b liegenden ungepolsterten Stellen bilden die Ventilationskanäle.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i. Tragpolster für Stahlhelme mit drei Tragpolstern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das eine sich auf die Mitte des Stirnknochens und die beiden anderen auf die Schädelknochen hinter den Schläfen aufstützen, die Schläfen selbst aber freilassen.

The support pad is intended in particular for steel helmets, but can also be used for other helmets.

Three-part upholstery is already known, but it rests on other headboards.
The described arrangement has the advantage that only the resistant parts of the skull are stressed by the impact on the helmet, but the sensitive parts, in particular the temple area, remain free from the pressure.
In the drawing, as an exemplary embodiment, a steel helmet is shown in longitudinal section (FIG. 1) and view from below (FIG. 2) with a support padding designed according to the invention.
It consists of three individual parts b, which are jointly attached to a shoulder strap c, which in turn is firmly connected to the interior of the helmet a. An iron band can also be used instead of the shoulder strap c. Each of the individual parts b is designed as a pocket in which a cushion d made of felt or other elastic material is inserted.
The items b are distributed over the circumference of the helmet in such a way that they rest on the forehead and to the right and left on the back of the head of the helmet wearer. The upholstery designated in the drawing as individual parts b can also be made in several parts. The unpadded areas between the individual parts b form the ventilation channels.
PATENT CLAIMS: i. Carrying pads for steel helmets with three carrying pads, characterized in that one is supported on the middle of the forehead bone and the other two on the skull bones behind the temples, leaving the temples free.
