   Die Anwendung von Aluminiumformen zum Giessen von Gegenständen aus Edelmetall hatte Mängel aufzuweisen, so dass eine praktische Ausnutzung nicht möglich war. 



   Durch die Erfindung, nach welcher dem Aluminium eine geringe Menge von Magnesium zugesetzt wird, wird vornehmlich das lästige,   sogenannte"Abpranzen"vermieden,   denn bei   oftmaliger   Anwendung von Aluminiumgiessformen bildeten sich an den Formwänden eine Art Patina, welche sich dem eingegossenem Edelmetall mitteilte und dasselbe verunreinigte ; durch Zusatz von Magnesium bleibt die Formwand stets rein erhalten. 



   Die Aluminium-Magnesiumlegierung ist zwar unter der Bezeichnung Magnalium
