   Das kennzeichnende Merkmal des Anmeldungsgegenstandes, welcher in Fig. 1 in Ansicht und in den Fig. 2 und 3 in Querschnitten nach der   Linie y--y bezw. x--a ;   der Fig. l dargestellt ist, ist darin zu sehen, dass die Luftpolsterung des Kummets sowohl in der Längsrichtung wie in der Querrichtung durch Scheidewände in Kammern c zerlegt ist, von denen jede durch Schläuche und Ventile   d   für sich   aufgeblasen werden kann.   



  Zweckmässig wird man die   Gummipolsterung   in einem Eisenrahmen   anordnon,   welcher an der Aussenseite und Innenseite mit hochgebogenen Rändern a, b versehen iat. Ältere Kummete mit Luftpolsterung dagegen sind entweder nur in der Längsrichtung (vorgl. die englische Patentschrift 17417 A. D. 1898) oder nur in der Querrichtung (vergl. die amerikanische patentschrift 542927) getheilt. Durch die Theilung in der Längs-und Querrichtung erreicht man im vorliegenden Falle den älteren Einrichtungen gegenüber den wesentlichen Vortheil, dass man die Luftpolsterung jeder Körperstelle des Pferdes durch Aufblasen genau anpassen kann und dadurch die Wirkung, das Pferd zu schonen.

  The rubber upholstery is expediently arranged in an iron frame, which is provided with upturned edges a, b on the outside and inside. Older collars with air cushioning, on the other hand, are either only divided in the longitudinal direction (see English patent specification 17417 A. D. 1898) or only in the transverse direction (see American patent specification 542927). By dividing it in the longitudinal and transverse directions, one achieves in the present case the essential advantage over the older devices that the air cushioning can be precisely adjusted to each part of the horse's body by inflating it, and thereby the effect of protecting the horse.

PATENT CLAIM: Collar with air cushioning, characterized in that the latter is divided into individual chambers both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction, for the purpose of being able to adapt the air cushioning to the horse's body at all points.
