  Zweckmässig wird man die   Gummipolsterung   in einem Eisenrahmen   anordnon,   welcher an der Aussenseite und Innenseite mit hochgebogenen Rändern a, b versehen iat. Ältere Kummete mit Luftpolsterung dagegen sind entweder nur in der Längsrichtung (vorgl. die englische Patentschrift 17417 A. D. 1898) oder nur in der Querrichtung (vergl. die amerikanische patentschrift 542927) getheilt. Durch die Theilung in der Längs-und Querrichtung erreicht man im vorliegenden Falle den älteren Einrichtungen gegenüber den wesentlichen Vortheil, dass man die Luftpolsterung jeder Körperstelle des Pferdes durch Aufblasen genau anpassen kann und dadurch die Wirkung, das Pferd zu schonen.
