Metal spring for connecting and fastening parquet pieces.

Metal springs for connecting and securing parquet floors are already known; In the same, however, there are circular holes for driving nails through for the purpose of fastening on the blind floor, while according to the present invention transverse slit openings are arranged to the spring, which have the advantage that more wood is grasped when the nails are driven obliquely and therefore the wood is torn more can be avoided. In order to achieve the same thing with round holes, their diameter would have to be so large that the nail heads could slip through.

In the case of metal springs with transverse slots, the nails can also be driven in at an angle than in the case of circular perforations, which results in a better connection of the parquet pieces; Also, when the nails are hammered in at an angle, the nail heads do not pass so close to the wood sake, so that you can work directly with a hammer instead of using an attachment, thus saving time.

Then, in the case of metal springs with SchIitzdurchbred1Ungen, the nail can even be driven through the upper cheek, so that, compared to the known types of fastening, tilting of the spring is avoided by placing the nail head over the edge of the lower cheek of the parquet piece.

The attached drawing depicting the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment shows in Fig. 1 a piece of Parkotbodon in plan view, in Fig. 2 a single piece with a spring in plan view, in Fig. The same in longitudinal side view and in Fig. 4 the type of connection and fastening of parquet pieces seen in cross section. a is the spring, which is made of suitable metal. z. B. consists of iron and has slot openings b through which, as mentioned above and shown in FIG. 4, the pins are continuously driven through the lower cheek into the blind bottoms.
