Grabenziehmaschine.

Trenching machine.
The invention relates to such trenching machines in which a curved coulter cuts off a layer of earth, the thickness of which is regulated by a stop arranged in front of the coulter, and the earth is conveyed to the soil surface by means of an inclined conveyor belt. 0
The invention relates in particular to the drive of the conveyor belt and consists in
EMI1.1
One embodiment of the trenching machine is illustrated in the drawing.
The digging device consists of the curved coulter 1, which cuts into the ground at an adjustable depth, and an adjustable slide 2 arranged in front of the coulter, through whose position in relation to the coulter 1 the depth of the cut is regulated.
Behind the coulter 1 is the conveyor, for. B. the chain 3, which runs over the guide rollers 4, 5 and receives ihien drive from the teeth 6 arranged on the carrier wheel 7 of the machine.
As the machine moves forward, the conveyor chain 3 is directly driven by the wheel 7, so that the top of the conveyor chain remains approximately still in relation to the ground and the ground cut by the cutting edge moves along over the digging device at a uniform speed, i.e. H. that the speed at which the separated soil is conveyed from the coulter to the conveyor device depends on the speed of movement of the machine.
In this way, you first get the most favorable speed for the conveyor chain under all circumstances and then the simplest possible drive for the conveyor chain, since gears, drive chains, etc. are no longer available.
The chain can expediently be composed of U-shaped sheet metal plates which are fastened in suitable spaces on the endless connecting chain.
