be the same. As a result, the walls forming these divisions are evenly stretched apart, and as a result of this tension the surface area exposed to the air increases very considerably. The air will then easily escape and the dust will be retained by the meshes of the fabric making up the dust collection bag. In order to somewhat limit the expansion or tension of the folds of the sack, small ends of the tape or strips h are conveniently attached to the edges g where the folds are connected to one another. The partitions c are folded at their lower edges so that they extend over the actual cleaner and form a chamber i directly above the cleaner.

This chamber can be called the distribution chamber. The air laden with dust first enters this chamber i and then goes into the various departments previously described. The upper ends of the partition walls e are also folded and connected to one another in such a way that a chamber j is located on the upper side of the collecting sack. forms, which is connected with all departments. This chamber j, like the slots f, serves to generate an even pressure in all sections. In order to fasten the dust bag in the correct position over the cleaner, an overhanging arm k is arranged, to which the bag is fastened at suitable points with the aid of cords.

In addition, an elastic band is drawn around the opening of the bag for the purpose of creating an airtight connection between the opening of the bag and the upper part of the housing of the cleaner.
