Verfahren zur Herstellung von Films oder Schirmen für Farbenphotographie und, - Kinematographie.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Films oder Schirme für Farbenphotographie und-Kinematographie und hat die Aufgabe, einen neuen oder verbesserten Schirm oder Film für diesen Zweck sowie verbesserte Verfahren und Mittel zu seiner Herstellung zu schaffen.
Gemäss der Erfindung werden Films für Farbenphotographie und-Kinematographie dadurch hergestellt, dass beide Seiten des Films mit verschiedenen Farben gefärbt werden, und'dass die Farbe in solcher Weise weggekratzt wird, dass an den Teilen, wo die Farbe auf der einen Seite entfernt ist, die Farbe auf der anderen Seite freigegeben wird. Wenn beispielsweise ein Film oder Schirm auf der einen Seite rot und auf der anderen Seite grün gefärbt wird, woraus sich als Mischfarbe violett ergibt, so kann durch Wegnahme verschiedener Teile der grünen oder roten Farbe in kleinen Punkten, feinen Linien oder anderen Figuren ein gefärbter Schirm o. Jer Film erhalten werden, der entweder zwei Farben, nämlich grün und rot gibt, oder ein Dreifarbenschirm mit rot, violett und grün in der verlangten Art oder Form.

Es sei im folgenden ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung erläutert : Ein Film aus Zelluloid oder anderem in geeigneter Weise durchsichtigen Stoff, möge auf einer Seite rot oder orangerot bestrichen oder gefärbt sein und auf der anderen Seite grün. Von der einen Seite des Film wird die Farbe nunmehr in kleinen Punkten, feinen Linien oder anderen Figuren weggekratzt oder weggeschnitten. Dann wird die andere Seite in gleicher Weise behandelt. Dabei wird dafür Sorge getragen, dass die Schnitte oder Einrisse auf der einen Seite dicht neben denen der anderen Seite liegen, dass sie aber einander nicht decken. Hierdurch ergibt sich ein Zweifarbenschirm. Wird ein Dreifarbenschirm verlangt, so werden auf beiden Seiten des Films mittlere Linien oder Räume in solcher Weise gelassen, dass sie sich genau decken und eine violette Linie ergeben.
Die oben erwähnten Einwirkungen werden mit Hilfe von Hobeln, Kratzern, umlaufenden Kreismessern oder sonst geeigneten Apparaten hervorgerufen, die so ausgebildet oder angeordnet sind, dass die Linien genügend fein und nahe beieinander liegen, um die verlangte Wirkung zu erzielen.
Nach einer anderen Ausführungsform kann der Film entweder bevor oder nachdem er in der oben beschriebenen Weise bestrichen oder eingefärbt ist, zuerst mit kleinen vorstehenden Punkten, Linien oder Rippen hergestellt oder versehen werden, die geeignet angebracht oder verteilt sind. Die hervorstehenden Teile der Fläche der Films werden dann abgehobelt oder weggeschnitten, wodurch die gleiche Farbenwirkung erzeugt wird.
