gesetzt.

PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

set. The purpose of the invention described below is to carry out the mentioned work automatically by automatically feeding the rivets to the holes made in the Proieki jr, reaching a punch head and pressing them into the holes. At the same time, the rivet washers are automatically placed on the pressed-in rivet shafts and riveted when the protector is switched on again.
Fig. 1 is a side view, Fig. 2 is a front view of the invention.
In addition to the awl 16 working upwards, there is a punch 55 carrying a rivet 62 in guides 58, which is actuated by an eccentric 57 seated on the main shaft 7 by means of a lever 56 and which moves up and down each time the shaft 7 'is rotated Hub received, the rivet 62 being pressed into the protector 70 drawn over the perforated steel band 19.
The upper end of the punch 55 has a flat, round recess for receiving the rivet head of the rivet 62, the edge (FIG. I) of which is cut out on the side of the rivet feed path 63 so that the rivets fed by the drum 64 can get into this recess.
Above the punch J-3 is a container 60 (FIGS. I and 2) in which the rivet washers are stacked flat on top of one another. Two rotatable screw threads 61 which protrude into the container 60 are arranged next to the container 60.
On the upper ends of the screw pin 61 are two mutually engaged gears 66, one of which is in engagement with a third larger, only partially toothed gear 69, which is driven by the main shaft 7 by means of two bevel gears 74 and 75.
After each rotation of the shaft 7, the threads Cl receive a stepped rotation through which the lowermost Xietenscheibe 71 is pressed onto the shaft of the
EMI1.2
Above the feed track 63 there is a slotted guide 73 for the rivet shafts, which prevents the rivets guided down from the drum 64 from tilting.
For the purpose of precise setting of the perforated steel band 19 in front of the awl 16 and the
Stamp 46 and Yes, the following arrangement is made:
The teeth 24, which are in engagement with the steel band 19 and mediate its indexing, do not sit directly on the drum 22, but on a disc 7, 3, FIG. 1, which is adjustably connected to the latter and in which a number of holes 74, FIG 2, is drilled at different distances from one another. Similar holes are located in the drum 22, the coupling of the latter with the disc 73 is carried out by means of a pin 80 (Fig. I).
PATENT CLAIMS: i. Punching and riveting machine for protective covers with anti-skid rivets according to Patent No. Siyy, characterized in that an upwardly and downwardly actuated punch (55), the head of which has a recess intended for the rivet head, is used to automatically feed and press the rivets into the protector (70) whose edge is cut out on the side of the rivet feed path (63).
