High-frequency machine like a homopolar machine.
Homopolar machines for technical alternating currents are no longer built in modern electrical engineering due to the fact that the material is not used very favorably. It was not until the need for alternating current machines for high frequencies, such as those used for wireless telegraphic purposes, that the homopolar machine was used again. Their greatest advantage lies in the low iron losses, which is particularly important in high-frequency machines. In the homopolar machine, only the armature surface is penetrated by the homopolar force flows, while the rest of the magnet iron of the machine has a static force flow.
Up to now, high-frequency machines of the homopolar type have been built with an excitation coil that surrounds the entire machine and is enclosed by two stators. The power flow generated by the coil closes s @ h over the rotor when its teeth are opposite the iron cores of the stator wound with the armature coils. Well done

Lines of force in the air and therefore the resistance is very large, so the magnetic induction flow through the armature coils is very small.

n'ss is the excitation coil. The design with double stagnation winding complicates the construction of the machine and makes it more expensive. which is especially suitable for machines with low output. The excitation coil going around the entire machine requires a large copper weight and corresponding costs due to the large average winding length.
The subject matter of the invention is a machine which is also built according to the homopolar type, but which requires a stator winding and a low copper weight for the exciter coil. According to the invention, the winding step of the continuous stator winding is equal to half the pole pitch of the two inducing acting dissimilar ones
