 EMI1.1

So far, plates or blocks for building purposes from peat have mostly been produced in such a way that the raw peat is mixed with a foreign binding agent (water glass and the like). The plates became expensive with this method, and the quality was also adversely affected. as the specific gravity increased and the porosity decreased. According to the present invention, the addition of a foreign binder or any treatment with chemical reagents is made superfluous if dry or dried moss peat is mixed with raw moor and briquettes are pressed from the mixture and dried. The plates and blocks produced in this way are light in weight and have great porosity despite their good mechanical strength.

Also one can, which ensures the full usability of this process for the production of building materials in the first place, always through suitable mixing ratios that the panels do not throw or warp later, but the respective shape that they have received in the press, e.g. B. the right-angled Fo'm. maintained.

Before being mixed with the raw part of the moor, the dried moor becomes in a certain degree, depending on the purpose, either coarsely fibrous
 EMI1.2
Mass thoroughly worked through and then brought into the desired shape by pressing, rolling or the like. The addition of the raw moor respectively. Moss peat can be of different sizes and the amount has a corresponding influence on the structure of the bricks. Depending on whether more or less solid masses are to be achieved, an addition of about 20 to zoo0 / is appropriate. Depending on the degree of comminution of the dried peat, from coarsely fibrous to fine-fiber, one also obtains products that are coarser or finer evenly
 EMI1.3

The moldings are dried artificially or naturally.

It should also be noted that fuel briquettes have already been made from mixtures of dry and raw peat without any other binding agent. Of course, apart from the calorific value, only the mechanical strength is of certain importance, while in the case of moldings that are to be used in construction technology, as explained above, other properties besides strength play an essential role.
