Verfahren zur Herstellung von Platten aus Asbest.
Es sind bereits mehrfach Versuche gemacht und auch Verfahren beschrieben worden, Platten und andere Gegenstände durch Mischen von Asbest und Sand o. dgl. mit Wasserglas, Pressen und Trocknen zu erzeugen, aber keine dieser Herstellungsweisen hat ein Produkt ergeben, welches sich in der Praxis als wirklich brauchbar bewährt hätte. Nach vorliegender Erfindung dagegen werden teuer-und säurefeste Platten erzeugt, welche trotz ihrer geringen Stärke feuersicher. säurefest, isolierend und schalldicht sind.
In der britischen Patentschrift Nr. 3684 vom Jahre 1873 ist ein Verfahren erläutert, durch welches ein Produkt hergestellt werden kann, das sich zur Herstellung von verschiedenen Maschinenteilen und für Bauzwecke eignet und auch säure-und feuerfest ist.
