 EMI1.1
 ordentliche Festigkeit.

Die beigefügte Zeichnung veranschaulicht die Erfindung.

Fig. 1 zeigt einen Querschnitt des Reifens,

  Cork tire with rubber cover.

The present invention relates to wheel tires made of a cork core with a rubber cover vulcanized thereon. The tire is made from a cork strip that is pressed together perpendicular to the direction of its fibers, so that the fiber layers perpendicular to the direction of the pressing action come to lie concentrically to the tread.
 EMI1.1
 decent strength.

The accompanying drawing illustrates the invention.

Fig. 1 shows a cross section of the tire,
2 and 3 show the cross section of the cork strip before and after pressing.

The tire running on surface c-c consists of the cork core a and the rubber cover b. The cork piece shown in Fig. 2 with the upper and lower edges 2 and 3 and the side edges 6, 6 shows the natural state before pressing. After the pressing, the surfaces 2 and 3 have approached each other substantially, the side surfaces 6, 6 somewhat removed from each other. The result is a great strength of the cork strip in the direction 6, 6 and a natural elasticity and spring force in the direction 2-3. The dotted line in FIG. 3 indicates the shape of the machining which is carried out so that the tread is perpendicular to the direction 6.6. Since the cork core is enclosed in an airtight envelope, the temperature influences cannot act on it.

Any moisture contained in it is also removed from it.
