   Nach der Erfindung gelingt es, auf einfache Weise Hohlkörper aus einem Stück nahtlos herzustellen, indem als Ausgangsmaterial Flechtwerk aus dünnen Holzbändern gewählt wird. 



  Wird auf ein derartiges Flechtwerk beim Anliegen auf eine entsprechende Form mit einem Stempel o. dgl. ein Druck ausgeübt, so gibt das Holzbandflechtwerk allmählich nach und schiebt sich ganz von selbst in die richtige und günstigste Lage zur Herbeiführung der gewünschten Endform. 



   Zwar war es schon bekannt, Hohlkörper durch Pressung zu erzeugen ; jedoch waren hierbei die Wandungen der Hohlkörper durch diese überlappende, gekrümmte Kantenstücke verbunden, während nach der Erfindung die Hohlkörper ohne Zuhilfenahme solcher Zwischen-   stücke tatsächlich   aus einem Stück erzeugt werden. 



   In der Zeichnung ist als   Ausführungsbeispiel   des Erfindungsgegenstandes die Pressung des Deckels und des Bodens eines zylindrischen Behälters veranschaulicht. Fig.   I   zeigt das   Ausgangsflechtwerk   für den Deckel, Fig. 2 den fertigen Deckel, Fig. 3 einen dazugehörigen Boden und Fig. 4 die beiden Teile einer Pressform. 



   Das Flechtwerk a wird auf den vertieften Teil b der Form gelegt und mittels des Stempels c zu dem Deckel d gedrückt. Der gleiche Vorgang gilt für die Herstellung des Bodenteiles e. 



   Als   Ausgangsgeflecht   kann natürlich nicht nur ein ebenes, sondern auch ein zylindrisches oder sonst geformtes, durch Flechten vorgearbeitetes Stück dienen, das aus einer Lage oder aus mehreren Lagen gebildet sein kann. In letzterem Falle werden die aufeinanderliegenden Flächen der Lagen vor dem Pressen mit einem Bindemittel versehen.

   According to the invention, it is possible to produce hollow bodies seamlessly from one piece in a simple manner by choosing wickerwork from thin wooden strips as the starting material.



  If a pressure is exerted on such a wickerwork when it is in contact with a corresponding form with a stamp or the like, the wooden ribbon wickerwork gradually yields and moves itself into the correct and most favorable position to achieve the desired final shape.



   It was already known to produce hollow bodies by pressing; however, in this case the walls of the hollow bodies were connected by these overlapping, curved edge pieces, while according to the invention the hollow bodies are actually produced from one piece without the aid of such intermediate pieces.



   In the drawing, the pressing of the lid and the bottom of a cylindrical container is illustrated as an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. FIG. 1 shows the initial wickerwork for the cover, FIG. 2 shows the finished cover, FIG. 3 shows an associated base and FIG. 4 shows the two parts of a press mold.



   The wickerwork a is placed on the recessed part b of the mold and pressed towards the cover d by means of the punch c. The same process applies to the production of the bottom part e.



   The starting braid can of course not only be a flat but also a cylindrical or otherwise shaped piece prepared by braiding, which can be formed from one layer or from several layers. In the latter case, the surfaces of the layers lying on top of one another are provided with a binder before pressing.
