PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Automatic safety system for electrical line networks.

The subject of the invention is a security system for electrical line networks.

It is the purpose of the invention to eliminate disturbances, e.g. B. to signal insulation faults at the ends of the affected power supply sections or to switch these parts off automatically or to do both at the same time. The invention makes it possible. the emergence of a disturbance. z. B. an insulation fault, to report in parts or to cause the shutdown before the resulting fault increases in size to dangerous short circuits.
 EMI1.1

means for signaling the line defects known and not further specified in the figure. *! or to switch off the affected sections of the route.

The impedances 8 are preferably only inductive in AC networks,
 EMI2.1
and arranged at both ends, so that rapid electrical changes in state coming from outside are propagated as equally as possible in both branches and therefore there is no significant voltage at the spark gaps. This is done for the purpose of limiting the effect of the system on the disturbed section. However, it is also conceivable. Impedances to be arranged only in one branch of the line at one end of the line and an impedance in the other at the other end of the line.

The impedances 8 can also. are designed in such a way that they already exert a certain throttling effect on the normal operating current in order to produce a certain operational voltage at the ends of the spark gap depending on the load on the section. However, this must never come close to the surge voltage to which the spark gap is set.

PATENT CLAIMS: i. Automatic safety system for electrical line networks for localization of line defects and overvoltages in sections, in which the conductors are divided into two or more parallel branches, characterized in that breakdown resistors (9) are connected between the conductor branches at the ends of the sections. which, when insulation faults occur, are broken down by differences in the electrical state between the conductor branches (traveling waves) caused by sudden disturbances and thereby indicate the fault or switch off the section or cause both at the same time.
