   Der Vorteil dieser Maschine gegenüber den bekannten Verschmelzmaschinen mit beweglichem Tische liegt, wie schon erwähnt, darin, dass die Gläser wegen der geringen Breite der Bahn, in welcher sie am Brenner vorbeigeführt worden, in ein und derselben Flamme vorgewärmt und verschmolzen werden, wodurch einerseits wesentlich an Gas gespart, andererseits die Geschwindigkeit, mit welchen die Gläser am Brenner vorbeigeführt werden, bedeutend erhöht und dadurch eine grosse Leistungsfähigkeit der Maschine erzielt worden kann.

1. Gläser-Verschmelzmaschine, bei welcher behufs   Ermöglichen   des gleichzeitigen Vorwärmens der Gläser in der Verschmelzflamme die Gläser in oblonger Bahn an dem Brenner vorbeigeführt werden.
