Es sind bereits Stielhalter für Besen, Bürsten und dgl. bekannt geworden, welche aus einer Spirale aus kantigem Draht bestehen, die auf das untere Ende des Stieles aufgesteckt und zusammen mit diesem in den Besen-oder Bürstenrücken hineingedreht wird, wobei sie in dem Holz des Stieles und auch in dem Besen-oder Bürstenholz ein Gewinde erzeugt. Auch hat man bereits bei solchen Stielbaltern die Windungen der Spirale nach unten enger gemacht, um die Einführung derselben in das Loch des Besen-oder Bürstenrückens zu erleichtern. Die vorerwähnten Stielbalter erftillen aber ihren Zweck nicht vollkommen, weil sich der damit befestigte Stiel dadurch wieder lösen kann, dass er sich beim Gebrauch losdreht, was besonders dann leicht geschieht, wenn die Spirale unten enger ist.
Dieser Übelstand wird gemäss der Erfindung dadurch beseitigt, dass das obere oder untere oder auch beide Enden der Drahtspiralo winkelig nach innen bzw. aussen gebogen sind, so dass sie sich in das Holz tief eindrücken und in diesem festsetzen, wodurch ein selbsttätiges Herausdrehen des Stieles verhindert wird.
In der Zeichnung ist der Stielhn1tcr in einem Ausführungsbeispiel dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 den Stielhalter von der Seite gesehen, Fig. 2 denselben in seiner Anwendung zur Befestigung eines Besenstieles, ebenfalls von der Seite gesehen, und Fig. 3 einen Querschnitt nach Linie I-II der Fig. 2.
Der Stielhalter besteht in bekannter Weise aus einer Spirale a aus kantigem Draht, deren Windungen unten enger sind. Der vierkantige Draht iht so gewunden, dass je eine scharfe Kante desselben nach aussen und innen weist und sich in das Holz des Stieles und des Besen. oder Btirstenrückens eindrückt. Die Spirale wird, wie Fig. 2 zeigt, auf das untere Ende des Stiels b aufgesteckt und zusammen mit diesem in den Boscn- oder Bürstenrücken r hineingedreht. Sie erzeugt dabei sowohl in dem Holz des Stieles b als auch in dem Holz des Besen-oder Bürstenrückens r ein Gewinde, in welches d (r l) raht der Spirale je zur Hälfte eingreift.
Um nun zu verhindern, dass sich der Stiel beim Gebrauch selbsttätig losdreht ist das obere Ende '/der Spirale winkelig nach innen gebogen, wodurch es tief in das Holz des Stieles eindringt und sich darin festsetzt. In gleicher Weise kann das untere Ende der Spirale winkelig nach aussen gebogen werden, damit es sich in dem Holz des Besenoder Bürstenrückens festsetzt.
