EMI1.1

EMI1.1
On fourdrinier or cylinder machines in which the stock water from a nozzle flows under pressure onto the screen, the adjustment of the exit speed of the impact water to the respective screen speed is achieved by changing the effective pressure level.
According to the present invention, the change in the effective pressure level should now be done by either increasing or reducing the amount of dilution water flowing into the stock water, which is possible without disadvantage for the paper in modern paper machines with long) sieve and suction pump relative displacement of the sump to the stock water channel takes place or that part of the total pressure head is destroyed by conversion in speed.
The regulation of the pressure head indicated above in such a way that more or less dilution water is added to the stock water, of course, does not include the generally usual regulation of the water flow to the paper machine.
In order to achieve a change in the effective pressure head through the amount of dilution water, the paper stock flowing in the stock water inlet channel is supplied with dilution water through a special pipe with a regulating slide. With the same nozzle opening and the same amount of paper stock flowing into the inlet box, more or less evaporation water is then passed into the channel in the simplest way by opening or closing the regulating slide, whereby the level in the channel and in the inlet box increases or decreases, i.e. the effective pressure level changes becomes.
Embodiments for a relative displacement of the inlet box to the substance.
EMI1.2
According to Fig. 2, the inlet channel l is fixed. while the inlet box c can be raised or lowered together with the Urust roller
Instead of the actual shift according to FIGS. 1 and 2, in the arrangement according to FIG. 3 the same effect is achieved by switching on a throttle slide s in the
EMI1.3
position of this slide, the pressure head in front of the inlet mouth can be increased or decreased.
